Microlaser Peel
WHAT IS MICROLASER PEEL?
Microlaster Peel is an intraepidermal laserpeel that precisely ablates the outermost layers of skin. The procedure is individually tailored to the nature of the problem to be corrected: wrinkles, scars, laxity, active acne or pigmentation problems.
WHO SHOULD CONSIDER A MICROLASER PEEL?
Generally, microdermabrasion only removes the stratum corneum (10-15 micros). The MicroLaser Peel is an intra to full epidermal peel (20-60 microns). Because this procedure ablates deeper into the epidermis, it is the perfect step between microdermabrasion and deeper peels.
HOW MANY MICROLASER PEELS CAN BE DONE?
As many peels necessary to achieve the desired result. Typically, the procedure is repeated 2-4 times spaced apart 4-6 weeks.
WHAT CAN THE PATIENT EXPECT?
Smoother, healthier, and vibrant skin. They will notice significant and immediate change in the skin texture and tightness compared to microdermabrasion.
HOW LONG IS THE HEALING PROCESS?
The healing process takes approximately 2-4 days. Generally, this procedure can be performed on Thursday and the patient can go back to work the following Monday. Immediately following the procedure, it will feel like bad sunburn. The patient will have minor sloughing and itchiness the following day. The second day the redness will begin to fade dramatically. On the third day, the redness will be diminished and easily covered by makeup.
